Biography
Jeff received his Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Criminal Law from the University of Arizona College of Law in 2008, where he was awarded the Dean’s Recognition Award for his work in successfully drafting a revision to Arizona’s accomplice liability law.
After graduating, Jeff worked for both the Pima and Maricopa County Attorney’s Offices, with assignments in misdemeanor and DUI courts, Mental Health Court, narcotics, and a trial group where he focused on violent- and weapon-based offenses, and was assigned as an on-call prosecutor to respond to and advise at homicide scenes.
As a defense attorney, Jeff has handled misdemeanor and felony cases across all 14 of Arizona’s counties. Jeff has conducted over 30 jury trials, ranging from Reckless Driving and DUI to Trafficking in Dangerous Drugs and Aggravated Assault, as well as hundreds of bench trials and evidentiary hearings.
An avid shooter, Jeff is an expert in firearms and self-defense law. As an NRA- and USCCA-certified firearms instructor, Jeff teaches concealed carry classes in his spare time, as well as conducting legal seminars as part of the USCCA’s Preferred Attorney Network.
