St. Patrick’s Day: Green Beer and Driving don’t mix

Happy St. Patrick’s Day weekend!  It is finally here for all of you who are Irish, at least for just one day a year.  Celebrations include all of the best: corn beef, cabbage, and of course, green beer and whiskey.  While Sunday will be a prefect day to gather with friends and have a fun day in the warm weather, police will be on the look out for impaired drivers who have had one too many.  Cops all over the valley, from Gilbert to Scottsdale, to Peoria and Surprise will be on high alert for those of you who make the mistake of getting behind the wheel while under the influence of the St. Paddy’s Day libations.

If police observe any sign of impairment in a driver, they can and will pull you over.  Signs of impairment can be as significant as swerving in the lane, to not using a blinker when turning.  Do not make the mistake of drinking and driving on Sunday: arrange for a taxi or designated driver before you start drinking.  If you do find yourself behind the wheel and being pulled over, keep in mind Matthew Lopez.  Save this phone number in your phone: 602-960-1731.  Call Matthew Lopez as soon as possible if you are being charged with a DUI, extreme DUI, or aggravated DUI or  this weekend.  An experienced DUI lawyer is needed to give the charges the best fight and to protect your rights and your future as much as possible.
