Hot temperatures can make for hot tempers

Hot temperatures can make for hot tempers

With the rising temperatures, you may notice that tension and stress also rise in people around Arizona

There have actually been studies that show violent crime increases with higher temperature.  Heat can make people more uncomfortable, less patient and overall more irritable.  This can lead to quick outbursts of anger, normally controlled in cooler months.  For example, heat inside a car during rush hour traffic can make drivers much less patient with other drivers, often leading to aggressive driving and dangerous road rage incidents.

Always be aware of the law even while drinking

With summer vacations underway, many of us are enjoying time off to let off steam.  But be aware of your mood while drinking.  Impatience and irritability are not against the law, but behaviors that result can be.  Police often respond to calls about people acting aggressively during the summer, such as fighting and shouting.  They can easily find reason to arrest you for these things, and before you know it, you could find yourself facing a judge for a charge of disorderly conductaggravated assault, or failure to obey a police officer.

Let us help you tell your side of the story

These charges can seem very vague, but police have the prerogative to take action when they believe someone is a threat to public safety no matter how minor the incident seemed at the time.  Our office is experienced with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault charges.  We understand that there are at least two sides to every story.  We know the importance of taking into account both sides to make the best and most effective defense against the charges.  If you find yourself facing any of these charges during the sweltering Arizona summer, contact our office to let us reduce or even dismiss your charges.
